As announced officially by RHYTHM Co., Ltd. in Japan on August 28, 2024, RHYTHM has closed its United States subsidiary and distributor, RHYTHM USA, Inc., effective January 1, 2025. This means that Rhythm products are no longer officially imported to North America. This also means that official warranty services have been discontinued. Rhythm has been producing quality clocks and top-of-the-line movements since their inception in 1950. They have even manufactured pieces for other well-established brands, such as Bulova and Howard Miller. You may have owned a Rhythm timepiece without even knowing it! Their success in the OEM market caused them to expand their business to North America by establishing RHYTHM USA, Inc. in 1989. It was also around this time that some of the first Karakuri clocks, also known as Magic Motion clocks, were introduced.

Almost all of us know about the watch-making history of the small European country Switzerland. There are many different luxury Swiss watch brands like Rolex, Tag Heuer, Breitling and Omega. But the watch-making industry stepped into the east side of the world in 1946, when a Japanese man named Tatsuo Kasama founded the Rhythm Watch Company. At first, the company was known as Noson Tokei Seisakujo, the former name of the company introduced in 1946. It was the forerunner of the Rhythm Watch Company.
This company was not only involved in making clocks and watches but is also involved in manufacturing small parts. The company had a separate division dedicated to making precision parts for different appliances. Rhythm also stepped into making camera components that were precisely engineered and fine-tuned. This helped in increasing the sales and revenue of the company by a large margin.
The connected terminal division of the company was involved in making small parts that are used in bicycle and automobile manufacturing. This had helped the Rhythm Watch Company to gain expertise not only in manufacturing quality watches but also explore new possibilities in miscellaneous manufactu

Operations:
1. Insert batteries in the correct position into the battery holder.
2. Push the reset button located either on the back or the side of the clock.
3. Tum the hand setting knob on the help of the clock to establish the time.
4. Close the battery cover(s).
5. To activate the hourly melody and motion, slide the ON//OFF switch located either on the back or the side of the clock to the “ON” position. a) One melody plays at the top of the hour, and multiple melodies automatically change one atter another every hour.
b) The melody may not activate properly when the clock reaches the first hour position after the time is set or the reset button is pressed. This is not a defect and the clock will activate properly from the next hour onwards.
6. To inactivate the hourly melody and motion, slide the ON//OFF switch located either on the back or the side of the clock to “OFF’. position.
7. To modify the volume of the melody sound, turn the VOLUME direct knob located either on the back or the side of the clock while the melody is playing.
