Thrust Damage is a Perk in New World, used in the Ring slot of certain Equipment and allows you to deal 3.0% more Thrust damag. Perks can be found in certain Equipment, and grant the player different types of bonuses, be it offensive or defensive, such as boosting damage output, granting resistance to a certain element or even increasing the amount of resources Gathering skills yield.

Here’s a small simplification GURPS could make: Replace the two break scores (thrust and swing) attached to ST with one injure score.
Huh? You mean do away with GURPS’ distinctive difference between a weapon’s swing and thrust damage scores?
No, nothing of the sort! That thrust-vs-swing distinction adds fun considerations to the preference and use of weapons. It’s one of my favorite features of the game’s combat system, right up there with defense rolls. Let’s keep it!
But I think the game could erase the small complication of two damage scores if it wanted – not from combat, but from character stats.
I’ve made state of this somewhere in the past, have had a rare conversations, and have seen some mentions (and misunderstandings) of it here and there. But I think I’ve yet to bore site visitors with the plan. For the curious and just for the giggles, let me lay out here what I mean by doing away with two character stats for break, in the form of responses to imaginary questions. (Note: Any weapon stats use newer ethics from Low-Tech and DFRPG, not Basic Set.)

You might have an overly efficient DPS build that does a lot of damage, but if the variables are not modified correctly to match with different opponents you face, you won’t be able to do much.
