One Piece: What Every Straw Hat Member Did During The Occasion Skip
WARNING: SPOILERS FOR ONE PIECE
Summary
- Luffy initiated the time skip to reunite his crew after realizing they were too frail for the New World.
- Luffy trained under Rayleigh and mastered Conqueror's, Observation, and Armament Haki during the two years.
- Usopp experienced the most significant change, learning to apply Pop Greens and Observation Haki, dramatically helping the crew.
What did Luffy and the Straw Hat pirates get up to during One Piece's two-year time skip? One Piece's time skip changed the status quo of the series and worked to establish how all the Straw Hat Pirates would act for the rest of the series. Even long after the age skip took place, the lessons and experience many of the Straw Hat crew members gained are still incredibly important.
One Piece's time skip takes place in episode #517 of the anime and chapter #597 of the manga. After Luffy suffered a terrible loss and his crew was forcefully separated in the Sabaody Archipelago, he realized that he and his crew were still far too weak to take on the challenges of the New World, so Luffy sent a coded message to the
511-513: “Unexpected Relanding! Luffy, to Marineford!”, “With Hopes It Will Attain My Friends! Big News Spreading Fast!” and “Pirates Get On the Move! Astounding New World!”
Lafitte showing off his soft skills.
Now these three episodes were worth every minute! This is, hand on heart, my favourite part of any arc epilogue: when the seeds of new plots are sown and you acquire to see what everyone else is up to.
And there was a lot of that in 511-513.
I’m still messing with the format. I’ll stick with the three days a week posts but watching six episodes at a time was too much. The post ended up way too long and I couldn’t get into much speculation (which is the most fun part). Three at a time might be a better balance. :)
Luffy’s Message
This was the Main Event for me. It was why I was so keen to watch the next lot of episodes. That cliffhanger drawn out over so many episodes! What could have caused the Strawhats to react so spectacularly? What the hell was Rayleigh up to? Why all the secrecy?
And most of all…
Why the hell would Luffy go back to Marineford?
The answer? He wanted to send a message. And Rayl
One Piece: The New World, Explained
Summary
- The New World in One Piece is the most dangerous sea, with powerful antagonists, dangerous islands, and unpredictable weather conditions.
- Navigating the New World requires skilled navigators and a special kind of Log Pose with three needles.
- The Yonko, powerful pirates, have a strong influence in the New World, protecting islands under their flags and expanding their territories.
One Piecefollows the Straw Hats adventures as they sail along the Grand Line on their quest to fulfil their dreams and make their captain the Pirate King. They are currently in the New World, where protagonist Monkey D. Luffy has made a name for himself and become a Yonko after having defeated Emperor Kaidou in Wano.
This sea is the most dangerous seen in the One Pieceworld, and is home to not only more powerful antagonists, but also more dangerous islands and weather conditions. This makes it particularly hard for pirates to navigate, and only crews with both a very skilled navigator, and a special kind of Log Pose, can make their way. In fact, Gol D. Roger’s crew is rumored to be the only one to have traveled across the entire s

agreed with the others, it is bothersome to know that before the timeskip the straw hats were only together for a measly 6 months. and thats just the OG crew members, franky, brooke etc probably joined in the last couple of weeks before they split. pacing is not oda's forte and it shows. should of been at the very least 1.5 years. it took gold roger 3 years to sail and conquer the grandline, whereas it took luffy only 6 months to earn out of the first part, and excluding the timeskip they have only been in the new world for 2 weeks and they are already a decent amount in to it being in dressrosa and all. and since we wont receive another timeskip it will roughly be about the same length as the first half which is 6 months at the maximum. oda really needs to stretch this half of one piece to at least 1.5 years

What two weeks? They are only at the third say since their reunion.

The thing is, that Oda never tried to make
