Let’s clear things up: what is Gay Days, exactly?
To begin, let’s clear up a common misconception. Many online articles and blogs don’t correctly explain what Gay Days actually refers to. Even fewer include the full array of all there is to do during a Gay Days / Disney Pride event.
Let’s acquire some quick history!
Since at least 1991, LGBTQIA+ folks have been meeting up — via their own community-organized events — at Disney parks. They simply called it Gay Days.
The name stuck.
In the late 90’s, an event organizer incorporated the name Lgbtq+ Days Inc. and trademarked their URL. Today, they’re just one of many professional companies that hosts events, parties and meetups during various weekends in Orlando and Anaheim. Some are free and open to the common, others are ticketed and held in private venues.
These events often overlap, so they compete a bit for visitors and attendees.
So if you perform a internet search for ‘Gay Days,’ execute note that you might only see results from one organizer — not its competito

ORLANDO | One Magical Weekend is moving its 2025 events, along with its Bear Jamboree events in partnership with Orlando Bear Pride, from the traditional first weekend in June to the weekend before to avoid being held on the same weekend as WorldPride 2025.
One Magical Weekend and Bear Jamboree will now take place from May 29-June 2, 2025.
“Our goal is to support WorldPride’s efforts to facilitate and inspire the LGBTQIA+ community in every aspect as we celebrate Pride Month,” said Tom Christ, co-founder of One Magical Weekend, said in a press release. “We have always kicked off Pride Month in Orlando by hosting our event the first weekend in June, but with WorldPride slated for that weekend we are moving our event date. With aligned missions, we would like to give people the opportunity to experience both events rather than making what may be a difficult decision to choose one.”
Joseph Clark, owner of GayDayS, said in an email to Watermark that GayDayS’ annual events would remain on the first full weekend of June, which will be June
WDW June 2025 Gay Days general Discussion Thread...
Gay Days are traditionally built around the first Saturday in June. This year it is June 7, and following the normal schedule the designated parks are:
Thursday June 5, Animal Kingdom
Friday June 6, Disney Studios
Saturday Jine 7, Magic Kingdom
Sunday June 8, EPCOT
The parks are open to the general universal, it is not a confidential ticket event, unlike at Disneyland.
While there are some private events, and one promoter is actually scheduling a week earlier than usual this year, including a private ticket party at
Typhoon Lagoon scheduled for May 30.
I'll be traveling with a friend, whose wife hates traveling, so he goes with me often. Also in my party will be his 16 yo grandson. We'll be at WDW June 4 to 11. While we are doing the parks, the only one we're doing on the designated day is Magic Kingdom, it's just the way our schedule worked out. I was also able to book the DVC Moonlight Magic event at Typhoon Lagoon for June 9. I've never been to Typhoon Lagoon, as I'm
Avoiding Gay Days
Hi, My husband and I are going to Disney World, The happiest place on earth, during Gayday 2003. We have three young girls. At Gayday are people openly sexually affectionate in public, or are they modest? We are vertical, and have no problem sharing the park with homosexuals. We do however wish to elude gay or straight make out sessions, and public fondling. We believe outward affection should be limited to hand holding and a quick quick kiss. Are we going to be disappointed? The only reason I seek is....Once we went to the tip of Cape Cod (can't remember the name of the town). We read it was a " Popular hang out for Gays." No big deal, we thought.....Yikes! We saw some scary stuff. Men in thongs groping one another, and people having heavy petting sessions in public. We would have been just as grossed out if they would have been direct people! Please tell me Gayday is a family friendly afternoon. Please , tell me we won't regret our choice to visit during Gayday....My husband said, " Honey, what difference does it make if gay people are in the park or straight people ?." I desire he is right....???
