Knights Knation U16 squad wins 2024 Marucci World Series
The Knights Knation 16U National team won the prestigious Marucci World Series going undefeated with a perfect 7-0 record.
The Knights defeated the CBA Bulldogs from California in the title game behind a strong effort on the mound from Zach Hu of Episcopal in Baton Rouge. Hu allowed no hits over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Lane Mixon of University High went 2-3 with a run scored and hit .318 in the tournament for the Knights.
Dax Pregeant of St Charles Catholic led the Knights offensively in the World Series hitting .462 with 7 RBI. Brennan Storms of Teurlings Catholic hit .389 with 8 RBI.
Left-hander Kohen Boudreaux of Iowa was excellent on the mound going 2-0 over 6 1/3 IP with 9 strikeouts.
The Knights had wins over programs from Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Ohio, Calfornia and New Jersey.
Knights Knation 16U National wrapped up their summer on a 13-game winning streak and finished a 26-10-1 tape .

The 8th Annual Marucci World Series will take place July 21-26, 2024 in Baton Rouge.

Opening Ceremony
Come hungry and bring your rally caps—the 2024 Marucci World Series opening ceremonies will be hosted at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge—open to the public and FREE. The opening ceremony tailgate will kick off on Sunday, July 21, at 3 p.m., complete with live music, food trucks and games. The official ceremony will start at 5 p.m., and it brings together local basebal
For the 8th annual Marucci Society Series, Marucci Sports has enlisted the expertise of 2D Sports to elevate the event encounter. As the logistics partner, 2D Sports will handle all player registrations, game scheduling, score updates, weather delays, communication during the event, and player data collection at each field.
Event Director and Vice President of Team Sales at Marucci, Kyle Achord said, "our goal since 2016 has been to make the Marucci World Series the best event our organizations play in all summer. True to the DNA of our company, we always look for ways to develop our customers' experience with our brands. With the tournament growing each year, we knew we needed to improve the logistics during the event. After proofreading a few companies in the tournament space, we felt 2D Sports was the best fit for us. We've known their staff for a number of years and have full confidence in their ability to treat the logistics of the Marucci World Series. We look forward to providing all the teams that attend this year's event an even better experience than before."
