Nynaeve ducks into an alley with Uno and Ragan, hoping to avoid Galad who was monitoring her. Galad finds her though and faces down Uno and Ragan. Nynaeve agrees to enable him approach so they can talk. As she asks questions he mentions Salidar and Nynaeve suddenly remembers that that is the identify of the village where the Rebel Aes Sedai are gathering. Galad bids to find a ship for her even though she didn’t ask. Nynaeve finally decides to trust Galad will not betray them to the Whitecloaks (but only because they are not currently in Amadicia, where channelers are outlawed). This was so damn rough. Winter’s Heart is easily the weakest book in The Wheel of Time so far.

Before reading this book, having read two of the four supposedly slog books in The Wheel of Time, I initially thought I was prepared for Winter’s Heart. I thought I was ready to bring myself through the dreadful slog. I was not. This was a pain to go through. Not only it’s the worst book of the series so far, but I also think it is one of the most overrated novels I’ve ever read. Even having expressed relatively few significant events were happening in A Crown of Swords and The Path of Daggers is not sufficient to encapsulate how useless this book was. I undertake want to warn you, though, that this is a guide series with a lot of foreshadowing. In each chapter reaction section, I will muse on and speculate over the plot clues that Jordan has provided. You might have to agonize that by reading my recaps I will connect dots for you that you would not have connected as quickly on your own.

In addition to all of that, my chapter recaps sometimes also include some other information about the characters from outside the novels.
