I’ve heard a lot of excellent things about Abby Jimenez. People absolutely love her books. I don’t know why I place off reading her books for so long. Part because I’m scared that it would not live up to the typical, part perhaps because I’m scared I’ll be addicted to her works! So, here goes my thoughts about her very first book I’ve ever read!

After a wild risk, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and hold with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her nature turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously steamy carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete antonym of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.
While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn’t need glory or fame. She’s fine with being a “mere” ER doctor. And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, she’s discovering just what’s really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would

The Happy Ever After Playlist is the second book in The Friend Zone universe, but it can in theory be read as a standalone. This time, the focus shifts to Sloan Monroe, who’s still mourning the loss of her fiancé two years later. Her life is flipped upside down when a runaway dog jumps into her car—and into her heart.
The dog’s owner, Jason, is a famous musician currently on tour in Australia, and their connection builds through a series of flirty texts and phone calls as Sloan and Jason start to fall for each other. But with Jason’s career taking off, their new relationship faces some major hurdles.
Musicians, emotional baggage, and a vibe that screams “read this on a rainy vacation with headphones in.”
What readers are saying:
This book is a favorite among dog lovers and romance fans alike. Many readers on Goodreads have commented on the chemistry between Sloan and Jason, calling it “electric” and “heart-melting.” One Amazon reviewer said, “This book had me from the very first chapter. The dynamic

Abby Jimenez writes fantastic contemporary romance novels. If you like Christina Lauren, Jasmine Guillory or Lyssa Kay Adams, you are going to possess a fun time reading Jimenez’s novels. They have a lot of heart, detailed characters and a strong story behind the romance. Part of Your World is the first in a series, but I think it’s fine to read them out of order. (I read the third book in the series, Just for the Summer, last year). It’s the kind of story you don’t want to finish and that leaves you with a book hangover. The only thing I didn’t really like about this book was the cover (that font just feels lazy).
Alexis is an emergency department doctor travelling home from a funeral when her ride gets stuck in a ditch. She’s introduced to the compact to
