Monster Hunter World Herbivore Egg & Wyvern Egg Quests: where to find monster eggs and what to do with them
The living ecosystem of Monster Hunter World has everything you'd expect from its wildlife - including monster eggs that some of the creatures in the world will protect, as any animal would its offspring. That's a petty bit awkward for them, however, because the commission is in town and there are some great rewards in store for hunters who can bring assist monster eggs intact.

These eggs can be found out in the feral while on expeditions but also are sometimes part of the objective for certain optional egg quests. Eggs generally fit into two different kinds: the Herbivore Egg, belonging to the more docile plant-eating monsters, and the Wyvern Egg, which of course belongs to the bigger, badder monsters - the kind that'll eat a hunter if they're given half the chance. Here's how they work, plus how to find them since they're carefully hidden and don't just drop from monsters...

What to do with Eggs
Wyvern Egg is an Account Item in Monster Hunter World (MHW). These items do not appear in your Item Pouch, and are used for Resource Points instead.
An egg that was stolen from a monster's nest.
How to get Wyvern Egg
This material can be obtained by searching nests. The first nest can be discovered anytime after the game's tutorial in the Ancient Forest in area 16 (just keep following the paths upward from the tutorial's Jagras cave). This nest could be farmed for 250 explore points per run in preliminary story or optional quests as the high level enemies will not be present & you only need to evade a few Jagras and/or Kestadon en route to the base camp.
How to deliver Wyvern Egg
The egg must be carried back to a camp, & delivered to the supply chest using the interact button (A/X). Be diligent not accidentally hit the release button instead. Additionally, when transporting the egg, you will be unable to interact with any collectables, but can still exploit climbable walls & can evade roll. Be careful when rolling too often as if your stamina runs out & you get winded, you will automatically drop the egg.

Once you have the quest, you can find it under the Level 4 optional quests on the quest board in Astera. Load it up and have your character spawn at Ancient Forest Camp (17). This is close to where you’ll find the Wyvern Egg that you’re looking for.
The Wyvern nest, where you’ll find the Wyvern Egg, is in Sector 16, just across the border from the Ancient Forest Camp and Sector 17. There will be a section of the nest with several Wyve
