Welcome to Light of the World Roman Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado! Whether you are new to our parish or have been coming here a while and have decided to register, we are grateful to have you as part of our parish family!
The Mass is the source and summit of the Church’s life, and I hope you make that the weekly cornerstone of your own life. There are also many additional ways that we encounter Christ and experience His saving love: in the sacraments, in faith and prayer formation, and through fellowship. This abundant life then overflows into our mission, given by Jesus to each of us, to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19) and renew all things in Christ. As a parish, we are committed to helping you grow and live your life of Christian discipleship.
The vibrancy of a parish is a work of the Holy Spirit, but it also relies on the engagement of its members. And this does not just mean money! While we do count on regular contributions through online giving or envelopes, we have many ways for you to get involved. I hope that you will consider the gifts given to you by God and how those gifts can benefitthe mission of the Church.
We are excited to welcome you

"Light of the World Catholic Parish has been working with AcousTech for the last 15 years. Just recently we had a 6-million-dollar capital campaign with an addition of a lovely new church. Roland did an absolutely amazing job on acoustical design and A/V systems' blueprint for our new space. The thing we like best about AcousTech' s work is they don't cut any corners. Everything is professionally setup and tested with the “day to day” Volunteer in mind. Roland provided sessions for our team of 17 volunteers to help prepare on the new gear.
The gear they choose to work with is state of the art. Our new space has dual HD projection screen video system, an HD, PTZ Camera show system, and a comprehensive Sound system with over 72 digital audio channels, including 12 digital wireless mic systems. The main speaker system is fully matrixed to maintain the apparent advice of sound focused from where it originates in the room. On one side of the space our contemporary music groups can control their own monitor mixes via personal devices. On the other s
JEFFERSON COUNTY — The construction of a new sanctuary at Illumination of the World Catholic Church should take about 11 months altogether, but it’s really 35 years in the making.
The church, 10316 W. Bowles Ave. in the Littleton area, has been open since 1979, but it never had a permanent sanctuary with pews and kneelers — both common in the Catholic faith. Instead parishioners have been seated in removable chairs and kneeling either on the floor or a mat.
“Building the church provides us with greater opportunity to do other things,” the Very Rev. Michael Pavlakovich said. Pavlakovich has been the top pastor for the past eight years.
Construction on the new sanctuary began in January and should be complete by late December. The new worship area will hold approximately 1,300 people, roughly double what the church can support in its current state.
The room that currently serves as the place of worship will be used for several other events such as parish dances, lecture series, theater presentations and overflow rooms for Christmas and Easter masses. It cost $6.5 million for the new building and Pavlakovich said the congregation will pay for the str
