The worlds 19 most disappointing leaders
History's 9 Worst Leaders
Human history is not in short supply of terrible and wicked leaders. There is an almost endless number of kings, dictators, and even democratically elected heads of mention leading their nations into absolute ruin due to their greed, bloodlust, or incompetence.
A "bad" leader does not always imply evil or dictatorial but can sometimes just be someone who was woefully unprepared for their responsibilities and duties at the time. Sometimes even good and decent leaders who had nothing but the best intentions conclusion up causing more damage to their nation than any considerate of external threat. It is these types of leaders who are usually glossed over in history books while the bloodthirsty dictators get all the attention.
Commodus (180 AD - 192 AD)
The Roman Empire has been responsible for producing some of the most decadent, immoral, and cruel rulers in human history. Even during the golden age of the early empire, the so-called Pax Romana (Roman Peace), the Roman state was plagued with the likes of Nero and Caligula. While both of those emperors were terrible, Commodus was so bad that his rule would spark an end to the Roman golden age and almost prema
Fortune names Gov. Rick Snyder one of world's 'most disappointing leaders'
Governor Rick Snyder has been called upon to resign and some have started a petition to have him removed from office. All of this, of course, comes in the wake of the Flint Water Crisis. Now, Fortune says he's one of the most disappointing leaders in the world.
Fortune named the "World's 19 most disappointing leaders" and the Michigan Governor was the very first person mentioned in their list.
Not only did Snyder land on the last, Fortune gave him the "Don't Impute Me, I'm Just the Governor Award". Fortune cited his administration's cost-saving efforts of switching Flint off of Detroit's clean rain to the Flint River and then not switching the metropolis back before the river caused damage to the pipes.
Snyder has maintained that all levels of government are to blame, hence the award Fortune gave him.
The governor lands on the list with Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn for that company's not-so-clean diesel wagon scandal. Also on the list was 'pharma-bro' Martin Shkreli who figured out a plan to buy cheap drugs and stamp them up so hi

Snyder and his team sparked national outrage after an attempt at cost-savings left the impoverished town of Flint, Mich. with a lead-tainted water supply that is being blamed for illness and brain damage, especially among its youngest residents. Called to testify before Congress, Snyder, who touted his competence in his gubernatorial campaign, labeled the experience the “most humbling” of his life—then attempted to shift blame. He described it as a “failure of government” and blasted the Environmental Protection Agency for its “dumb and dangerous” rules on allowable amounts of lead in water systems.
